FIX A LEAK
FIX A LEAK
FIX A LEAK:SPECIALIZING IN LEAK REPAIR SINCE 1980. FIX A LEAK: IS A CONCENTRATED LIQUID LEAK SEALER FOR PLUMBING AND STRUCTURAL LEAKS IN VIRTUALLY ANY MATERIAL. DOSAGE:ONE QUART PER 22,000 GALLONS OF WATER. DIRECTIONS: *Shake well before using* For minor leaks in a pool losing approximately one inch of water per day. 1. Bypass FILTER MEDIA before adding FIX A LEAK to water. Sand Filters:Set filter valve to recirculate. Other Types;remove cartridges or DE elements from filter tank. Then proceed to circulate through empty tank. 2. With pump running add FIX A LEAK slowly through skimmer or in front of any suction intake. 3. After adding FIX A LEAK adjust suction to main drain. If this is not possible, the vacuum cleaner could be used alternatively, simply by placing the vacuum in the deepest part of the pool and connect to normal vacuum connection. Set filter valve to normal vacuum position. 4. FIX A LEAK is very heavy and will sink to the lowest point rather quickly. It must be stirred back into suspension, either manually using a pool broom or mechanically with a automated pool cleaner every 4-6 hours, during circulation of water. 5. Continue to recirculate water until the laek has stopped. 6. Mark level of water in the pool and check for 2-3 days to determine if the leak has stopped. 7. After the leak has stopped and given the proper time to cure.(24-48 hours). You may return to normal filtration. Sand Filter: Set filter valve to filter and resume normal operation, and Backwash out unused FIX A LEAK as required. Other Types:Reinstall filter into tank and resume operation.Rinse out unused FIX A LEAK from filter as required. *NOTE* Never allow cartridges or DE elements be left to dry, before they are cleaned. 8. Treatment can be repeated if necessary. You may add another quart of FIX A LEAK if the leak has slowed, but not stopped completely. For larger leaks in pools losing approximately two inches of water per day,it would be advisable to pressure test the lines,to determine wich line is leaking, isolate the line. then continuously circulate the FIX A LEAK in a closed loop system, till the leak has stopped. *NOTE*SUCTION LINE LEAKS. Suction Leaks are usually known by air, mixed with the water at the return fittings. In most cases suction lines only leak water when the filter pump is shut off.Normal circulation will simply draw FIX A LEAK away from the leak and if the pump is shut off, the material will simply not get to the leak. You must reverse the flow of water, to force the FIX A LEAK through the leak under pressure.Preferably 5-10 PSI,till the leak has stopped. When this has been achieved, gradually increase pressure to 15-25 PSI,to insure a proper seal. VERY IMPORTANT: After sealing a suction line leak IT is a must to leave suction off the line for no less then 48-72 hours,FIX A LEAK requires time to cure and harden. MISCELLANEOUS LEAKS:If you suspect a leak around fittings inside the pool (such as return fittings),lights, skimmer(s) or steps, etc.Shut down pump.Apply FIX A LEAK directly to the leak using a squeeze bottle,or syringe.Allow a minimum of 48 hours to cure before starting up circulation. FIX A LEAK: will seal holes up to 1/8 of an inch in diameter and will form an permanent seal. SKU: FAL32oz Vendor: Marlig Industries, Inc. [ SHIPPING WILL APPEAR AT CHECKOUT ]
